Participatory Site-Specific Installation
Location: Former brewery, Biedenkopf (Hessen), Germany
Human Hair of 1,2 kilometer of hair spung into threads, Wool, Nails, Lights
Dimensions: Ø: ca. 3,5m, Height 4,5m
The installation has been constructed around one of the ventilation shafts found in the brewery, which used to house large brewery tanks. The installation consists of over a hundred spun hair threads placed around the vent, connecting the upper and lower floors. Locals participated throughout the project. The hair was collected from the participants as well as the local hair salons.
